A Colorful Portrait Location

Parks are nice for photos, but I love to shoot in our funky Portland neighborhoods!  Our city is decorated with shabby old buildings, torche light posts, and hints of artistic adornments.  This neighborhood backdrop set the perfect whimsical scene for two 7 year old best friends.  I have wanted to do a shoot at this location for a long time, but I also wanted to have the right subjects in the right attire.  When I found out my client was dressing the girls in Matilda Jane Clothing (one of my favorites, I adore their eclectic bohemian style) I  immediately thought of this location.  The girls and I had a great time, and I couldn't have been happier with the overall feel of these images!

Honor your Heart

I feel so honored to been the photographer for The 2012 GO RED for WOMEN annual luncheon and Health Expo for The American Heart Association in Portland,OR.  This is the second year I have had the opportunity to capture the love and commitment these women have to spreading the word about heart disease and stroke.

Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women?  Do you even know CPR, or what to do of someone is having a stroke?  Do you need idea's for heart smart meals? For information about prevention and support please take the time and visit The American Heart Association.  And if you ever get the chance, purchase a ticket to the Go Red Luncheon and Health Expo, it is a very inpiring event!  You will leave craving a big salad and taking the stairs to your car even if it is parked on the 8th floor of the parking garage. ;)
