It's not the end of the world... Yay!

I feel like I've been a naughty girl.  I told myself to get on top of it and commit to at least one blog post per month, but as time has shown I have had a real struggle with getting it together and posting.  The original post for todays blog was started around November, but things came up, and the holiday season was ultra busy for me. So here I am just days before the big day in December finally blogging again!  Oh well it's not the end of the world!

Procrastinating and waiting till the last minute is not a productive habit to get into.  However, sometimess we need a little extra time to sort out in our minds exactly what we want to say, and how we want to say it. Sometimes we need a little extra time to find that perfect gift, or sometimes we just really despise doing a project, like taxes, or cleaning and we just put it off.  Hopefully we don't put it off untill it is to late.

The last few weeks have been very emotional for many people, the recent tragedies in our communities revolving around mall and school shootings have been a reminder of how precious our lives are and how in an instant we can lose something so dear, and irreplaceable.

Recently a friend/family member of mine has been put on oxygen tanks and is patiently waiting being put on a lung transplant list.  He is suffering from a lung disease which cannot be cured.  I did some family photos for them the other night, and I remembered how important my job is.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to photograph all my clients and create images that will last a lifetime.  Beautiful memories of their families that can hold on to time when things change, and that person or person's are all grown up, or no longer with us on earth.

If you have missed getting a holiday portrait of your family this year, it is not the end of the world.  You do not have to wait till next year to have a professional portrait taken.  Any time is a good time, because you never know when we may lose the opportunity.  Quit procrastinating!  It is worth the investment!

I would like to say "Thank You" to all the families I have photographed this year.  It has been a real pleasure to photograph you, and good job for not procrastinating and hiring a me as your professional photographer.  I hope you all are enjoying your images, and your families this holiday season.  May you all be blessed with health and happiness!

So folks here is just a bit of what I've been up to the last couple of months.  Happy Winter Solstice!
